I think this is a brilliant idea. I'm really looking forward to the discussions on this blog. There are so many blogs out there but none that I have found actually have publishers and agents chatting as well!

ReplyDeleteIt will be pleasure to start contributing with the BWA Blog. With so many experts in the UK and USA I will post a few lines about (my specialism?) the Latin American market, where I have been focussing my efforts on for the past few years. And talking of effort, every drop of effort I have put into the Brazilian market has generated amazing results. The country is one of the fastest growing regions of the world, is very Eurocentric (Brazil is a huge Portugal cum Spain with a touch of Italy and Germany spiced up by Japanese, mid-eastern and African cultures), loves the UK and is eager to accept British writers, published or unpublished! (Most of the published ones seem to be there anyway.) I hope to help you to gain an understanding of that part of the world, and for the ones of you who write, how about even publishing first aboard as Europe awaits economic recovery?
