I'm Maia Walczak, an author-illustrator of children's picture books who's also working on a novel. I'm probably most known for my series of Silent Books, which are illustrated stories told without words. Even though they are as yet unpublished, they have managed to take on a life of their own, finding their way into schools around the world. The Silent Books are being adopted by teachers as an aid in Literacy, and are being used to inspire children to write. I just want to say that I love your Silent Books (just finished reading/watching? Stray; it was lovely :)) and your illustrations on Ugly Sharkling really made me smile (in a good way!) I wish you the best of luck with your novel :)
